Křtiny - Pearl of South Moravia

It is his largest work, built on the ground plan of a Greek cross. It has become a famous pilgrimage site thanks to its statue of the Madonna, to which a number of miracles have been credited. The interior of the church is dominated by a cupola with ceiling frescos.

The church site is also home to a Loreto carillon with 33 bells that plays regularly and a large charnel house where rare skulls decorated with mysterious paintings of laurel leaves are found, in addition to the remains of hundreds of inhabitants of Křtiny from the Middle Ages.

The church is open to the public all year round, and now serves not merely for important church events and extraordinary spiritual activities, but also for concerts and lovers of architecture and history.
