Visit the caves also in winter
Some of the Moravian Karst caves are open for tourists throughout the year. You can visit Punkevní caves where you can go on the boats along the underground river Punkva and to enter the bottom of the Macocha Abyss.

The big attraction for tourists is the cave Výpustektoo, which served as a place for the weapon factory of the Nazi Army and as a a nuclear shelter for the Czechoslovak army.

Third cave opened for public in winter are the Sloupsko-šošůvské Caves that also offer special tours in the light of flashlights in winter.

Cave Balcarka and Catherine Cave are closed during the winter, because they serve as winter habitat for bats, which should be allowed a restful sleep.
